Love letters from the Twitter “feminist” Left

Much luv to the h8rs; I do it for y’all. Especially touching are the threats of violence, even if they’re ultimately empty — just a way to strike a militant pose. The world has never known such profound impotence.

Got screenshots of these also, as backup, but figured I might use the neat “embed” feature while they’re still undeleted:

Needless to say, the people sending these tweets seem pretty upset.

(With respect to this last accusation, regarding “brownie points,” the only reason I brought it up was that some were insinuating that my problem dating her was on account of her ethnicity. Dumb.)

Anyway, none of this is particularly shocking or worrying. No cause for alarm. The fact some of them feel they have to seize on some rude remarks I made about an ex (after she physically assaulted me in the street, lol) shows just how desperate they are to discredit me. Like, really? Just seems like they’re reaching, that’s all. But hey, at least my ex had the chutzpah to make good on her violent threats. So until Sarah Nicole Prickett shanks me with a knife or J. Eden stuffs me on a jetliner set for collision with a mountain, I’m fairly unimpressed.

“My skin is thick, cause I be up in the mix of action if I’m not at home, puffin lye relaxin.” Yeah, Prodigy sendin’ this one out, like a Spencerian…

So I wear a slug-proof underneath my Guess
God bless my soul, before I put my foot down and begin to stroll
And to the drama I built, and all unfinished beef
You will soon be killed, put us together
It’s like mixin vodka and milk
I’m goin out blastin’, takin my enemies with me
and if not, they scarred, so they will never forget me
Lord forgive me the Hennesey got me not knowin’ how to act

…only tha strong survive — survival of the fittest…

  1. Be careful about being sucked in. It helps me to remember Malcolm X’s “Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery.”

That said, there’s something racially creepy about suggesting anyone would date someone for “brownie points”. It smacks of fear of miscegenation. Another Malcolm X quote applies:

I believe in recognizing every human being as a human being–neither white, black, brown, or red; and when you are dealing with humanity as a family there’s no question of integration or intermarriage. It’s just one human being marrying another human being or one human being living around and with another human being.

But these people don’t think in terms of one human being choosing to be with another.

Do spread the word if vogelfrei is attacked for the racial coding of “brownie” points. It would’ve been safer to go with the usual warrior cliche about wanting cookies.

    • Don’t worry about me, haha. And I agree, regarding the crypto-racist connotations of “brownie points.” Twitter “feminists,” especially of the intersectional variety, tend not to be very bright. Unsurprisingly, moreover, most of them appear to be straight whitebros. (I use scare quotes around the word “feminists” because they’re a mockery of both historical Marxist struggles for women’s emancipation and non-Marxist feminism alike).

  2. Well you are clearly doing something either very right or very wrong to inspire such loathing.

That Malcom X quote of Will’s reminds me of a passage from one of Richard Morgan’s novels:

“The personal, as everyone’s so fucking fond of saying, is political. So if some idiot politician, some power player, tries to execute policies that harm you or those you care about, take it personally. Get angry. The Machinery of Justice will not serve you here – it is slow and cold, and it is theirs, hardware and soft-. Only the little people suffer at the hands of Justice; the creatures of power slide from under it with a wink and a grin. If you want justice, you will have to claw it from them. Make it personal. Do as much damage as you can. Get your message across. That way, you stand a better chance of being taken seriously next time. Of being considered dangerous. And make no mistake about this: being taken seriously, being considered dangerous marks the difference – the only difference in their eyes – between players and little people. Players they will make deals with. Little people they liquidate. And time and again they cream your liquidation, your displacement, your torture and brutal execution with the ultimate insult that it’s just business, it’s politics, it’s the way of the world, it’s a tough life and that it’s nothing personal. Well, fuck them. Make it personal.

Not sure either that or Malcolm X is much help in navigating the moronic inferno of modern social media though….

  3. It is flippin’ insane. It’s not intersectionalism, identitarianism, standpointism — their many demerits aside — on steroids. Rather, it’s as if “the left” (sic) in toto has been put through some kind of alien abduction, and replaced by mental patients. As bad as “leftism” has become, this doesn’t seem to have anything to do with really bad “leftism”. These people are just fucking nuts. It’s like taking a bunch of Al Bedoo shriners and putting them in lab white coats and calling them doctors. (wait a second… my local proctologist WAS a shriner)

    • It’s not THE left, just more of a typical Anglo-American phenomenon. You can see here on the one hand extremely solid academic work, like Perry Anderson, Richard Seaford, and on the other a kind of weird sectarian-like landscape of different groups. I think if you go back to the 1970s the same phenomenon will be present, though today it has obviously degenerated.

Obviously these people have to function within the heart of imperialism, which means they go against a strong current. Who knows, some of these ideas may have even been introduced by the intelligence community to sow discord among potential opposition. Or it’s just the tendency of moralism and sectarianism characteristic of Protestant countries (we had it here too in the heyday of leftism, including the setting up of groups by the intelligence service).

If only people could return to a materialist standpoint, that immediately makes for a more temperate mode of understanding the world. Within idealism (theory) and moralism there’s by contrast an almost infinite potential for strife over insignificant trifles.

  4. Charnel House appears to be degenerating into just another leftist blog full of personal attacks and counterattacks. This combined with its frequent indulgence in discourse about political abstractions (like “Identity Politics”) without offering any grounding in specific material conditions, make it a very boring and disappointing place to do my reading. It is for this reason, I am terminating my subscription.

      • Meaningless? These disputes are where it’s at! At least they show us what life on the ultra-left fringe is really like. Forget about the high minded intelectualisms, as soon as people really disagree they immediately descend into a an old skool bitchfight. Now my question is, when you people meet up in real life, do you get physical?
